Information about SAIHs Vårsamling

SAIHs political campaign will in 2009 be about “media and participation”, and we have applied for money to bring a few of our partners from the South to Norway. The thought behind bringing in you, is that we realize that we have a lot to learn from out partners, who are very innovative when it comes to means of expression. Our goal is not to learn how to technically produce a poster, but to start a creative process in our minds about how we can use different forms of media to express political opinions in our information work.

We imagine a workshop with CDP where the participants, who will be mainly from SAIHs local chapters, can work together in a creative thinking process, and maybe make a sketch for a poster. The reason behind this is that we have a relatively short timeframe in the Spring Gathering.

There will be up to 60 people participating in the gathering. However, we don’t know this for sure yet, and we haven’t made a detailed program for the workshops. One possibility is that there are several workshops simultaneously, and that people can chose which one they want to participate in. This is something we’ll have to discuss more closely later (hopefully soon though).

The hope is that this will motivate our local chapters to later produce their own posters. What we need from you is help to start the creative process and to express political messages through art and posters!
