HIV/AIDS Day

We wanted to do something special on the HIV/AIDS day to get people aware of the day and also on the situation of HIV/AIDS infected people and how they have less rights than others. Early in the morning we handed out flyers and condoms to every classroom and studyrooms at campus and after that SAIH-Ås created a stand on Campus where we gave out `goodie bags` to the students and informed them about the day and what it represented. We also participated in the stunt which where performed all around the country, where we cried out loud for equal rights for HIV/AIDS infected people. Around 15 joined us in this stunt, and even though having a stand in -18 degrees was a bit extreme, we had a good day and we really felt that we contributed with something positive to the HIV/AIDS day.

SAIH blir med i "Oslo som Pusteromsby"

SAIH går inn som formell partner i Oslo som Pusteromsby. Sammen med andre sentrale menneskerettsorganisasjoner skal SAIH bidra til å gi truede menneskerettighetsforsvarere et pusterom for hvile, trygghet og kapasitetsbygging – med særlig fokus på studenter og akademikere.

Asle Toje har rett om en ting: bistandssystemet er overmodent for reform. Det er det få som jobber med internasjonalt utviklingssamarbeid som er uenige i. Spørsmålet er ikke om bistanden bør endres, men om vi skal bevege oss fremover eller bakover.

Studentdemokratiet (StOr) har vedtatt å øke den valgfrie SAIH-bidraget på semesteravgiften til 50 kr.
