Education that gives you knowledge. Education that gives you freedom to be who you are and reach the highest goals you can reach – not just personally, but also for communities and the country.

-Why is education a good thing?

It gives people choices in life, enables them to make informed choices and improve the lives of their own and of their families. Knowledge also makes people tolerant and able to appreciate diversity.

-How can the situation for education today become better?

Our government should avail everyone an opportunity to education by subsidizing it at least at the primary and secondary level. Young people should also have the opportunity to get into higher education. Currently this is not the situation because people don’t have access to the necessary financing.

-How can you contribute to education for liberation?

I am a teacher and I love to teach through different forums. Right now I’m working with HIV and continuously sharing knowledge that I have, especially for the LGBTI communities and sexual minority groups. I also try to show the importance of education to my family and my nieces.
