Winter gathering 2026

The best weekend in February is approaching – SAIHs Winter Gathering! Remember to sign up by January 25.

Place: Sjøglimt Leirsted in Ørje

SAIH's winter gathering is a great way to get to know the organization better through a good mix of creative workshops, interesting discussions, activism and fun activities.

Not least, you get to know other engaged people from all over Norway and the world!

The Winter Gathering is one of our annual national gatherings and is open to all local chapters and members of SAIH. Here we will get new knowledge about relevant topics, build skills, prepare for the Annual Meeting in April, and get valuable input from you for SAIHs projects!

Are you interested in running for any positions in SAIH at our Annual Meeting? Or just curious and want to learn more about the different positions? Then the Winter Gathering is the perfect place to be! The Election Committee will be present to answer all your questions – how to run for elections, who can run, what are the different positions you can run for in SAIH? More information about this will be available on our website, saih.no.

Travel and accommodation

The gathering will be held at Sjøglimt Leirsted in Ørje. We will set up a bus from Oslo S on the 20th of February, and back on the 22nd.

Accommodation and food is free for all SAIH activists and members. In addition, SAIH covers the travel for two activists from each local chapter. Any other travel expenses are covered by the local chapter itself. Members must cover their own travel expenses.

Practical information about travel and the program will be sent individually to all participants who sign up.
