Do you want to help shape SAIH’s biggest event of the year? We are looking for creative and committed students and academics who want to join the working group for SAIH Conference 2026! The conference is set for Fall 2026.

After the success of the SAIH Conference 2025, we want to make this an annual event for dialogue, critical discussions, and exchange between students, academics, and partners. Building on the experiences from last conference, we are now putting together a dedicated working group that will take a leading role in shaping next year’s program!

As a member, you will:

  • develop the conference program
  • identify and invite exciting speakers
  • contribute to outreach and promotion
  • support practical logistics ahead of the conference

The group will consist of 6–7 people, of which 2-3 places are reserved for the SAIH secretariat and the Executive Committee. The meetings and the conference will most likely be in Oslo, so we are looking for people based in/around the city. You can expect 1–2 working meetings per month.

Who are you?

We are looking for academics and students who can help create an engaging and relevant program.

  • You are passionate about education, solidarity, and student engagement.
  • You already have some familiarity with SAIH’s work and values.
  • You enjoy working with others and taking initiative.
  • You may have experience with event organizing or outreach – but this is not a requirement.

Practical info

The working group will start its work in November and continue until the conference in Fall 2026.

How to apply

Send a short motivation letter (max 250 words) introducing yourself, your experience, and why you want to join the working group.

Send your application to:
Vice President of SAIH, Thais Alfaro Sandoval
Email: thais.sandoval@saih.no

Deadline: Friday, November 7
