COLAZ is a union representing around lecturers all over Zimbabwe.
COLAZ is a union representing around 1000 lecturers from polytechnic colleges, industrial training centres, teachers’ colleges, and vocational training colleges all over Zimbabwe. The unionization of college teachers in Zimbabwe have been a hard and uphill struggle. Efforts to advocate and lobby on behalf of college lecturers have been met with targeted attacks on union leadership and union members.
SAIH have partnered with COLAZ since 2010 and support COLAZ’s secretariat and democratic structure, their training of lecturers, and their efforts to advocate for better working conditions and learning environments in institutions of higher learning.
