What if being political was forbidden?

What would Norway look like? Politicians would be expelled from their universities and forced to do something else. That, or take the first ferry to Denmark…

It could have been worse. Today, students in countries like Iran and Zimbabwe are threatened to silence with imprisonments and expulsions. Simply for speaking out and voicing their opinion. Young people with knowledge and courage are kept from building their own countries. SAIH believes that students who have been expelled due to their commitment to human rights should be able to complete their education in Norway. Sign the petition here 

Student activists at risk

Student activists are among those who are protesting loudly when a society is developing in the wrong direction. Because of their struggle for change makes become a target for authoritarian regimes.

  • In Zimbabwe students have been arrested 1000 times and expelled 187 times between 2006 and 2010.
  • During summer of 2011, 500 students were expelled in Bahrain for participating in protests.
  • The minister of research in Iran have annonced that everyone being a part of critical regime demonstrations will be denied education.
