“The people at the Atlantic coast have been marginalized throughout centuries, and it is therefore important for me to focus on the self image of the different ethnic groups that live here. It’s only when a human being starts appreciating one self and one’s own culture that one can start contributing to progress and development for one’s own people. “

“I hope for the future that URRACAN can offer all areas of study that is of relevance and also requested by the population in the area. I also hope that all employees, including the administration at the university, will have the competence and knowledge necessary for further development of the university. My biggest dream is that the need for labor increases and that the salaries get better. This is the only way we can hinder people from moving to the capitol seeking labor, instead of staying in one’s own region.”
